Now more than ever young people are seeking the support of mental health care. Many colleges and school districts are struggling to keep up with the needs of their students.
While parents are struggling to find affordable care for their children.
Our mission is to increase access to mental health services for teens and young adults.
Who we are
MyCocun was founded in 2019 by a group of people who have personally experienced mental health challenges themselves and have seen it impact the ones they love.
Our goal was to fill the gaps in mental health care by creating a service that could be accessed from anywhere at anytime.
We see the need for affordable mental health care, especially among the youth of today.
It is our hope that we can normalize therapy by using modern technology to our advantage. Providing our members with safe and secure access to a licensed professional, on their time.
Why transition ages?
1 in 4 young adults between ages of 18 and 24 have a diagnosable mental health condition.
Additionally, 75% of lifetime mental health conditions begin by age 24.
Access to care early on is essential in learning to cope with a mental illness or life hardship.
In recent research studies, students cited depression and anxiety were among the top impairments to academic success.
Furthermore, 64% of college students no longer are attending classes due to mental health related reasons.
Drug addiction and suicide disproportionately effect transition age youth. Both of these can be prevented through quality care and support.
How It Works
Simple, easy, quick.
New users will complete a brief survey including what they want to work on so we can find the best possible match.
Once the survey is completed, we work quickly to match our users to a counselor who is the best fit.
Once the survey is completed and users have been matched, they are ready to start scheduling sessions!
